Current Health Events
As the old adage goes: If you have your health, you have your wealth. While few would disagree that a healthy body is vital to live a full life, most people do not really appreciate the true value of health, unless they become seriously ill or injured. Otherwise, people either take it for granted or do not give it the thought that is needed.
However, health is more than priceless. For all its wonders, science still cannot return sick people to health in many situations. All the wealth in the world is utterly worthless to a person who does not have the health to enjoy it with, and health cannot be bought at any price.
With this in mind, Health Current Events hopes to encourage people to think more about their health and give them tips and advice on how to improve it. A healthy lifestyle and happiness certainly go together and should be the top priority for everyone. For anyone to be truly healthy, they need to look at the major aspects of health. To aid in this process, Health Current Events will look at:
Diet
You really are what you eat. The human body is a very complex machine. Without the proper vitamins, minerals, proteins and everything else your body needs to survive, this machine is never going to function properly. The parts for this machine cannot readily be replaced so they need to be nourished every day with the utmost care.
Exercise
Throughout the long course of human evolution and history, people had to be very active to survive. From hunting, gathering food, avoiding predators and building shelters, people did not have the luxury to live sedentary lifestyles. It is only very recently that human beings have been able to survive without strenuous physical exertion so our bodies are thus not adapted for it. There is no getting around the fact that physical exercise is absolutely necessary. However, being natural and something our bodies are made for, it can be very enjoyable when approached with a proper attitude.
Mental health
There is no denying the mental aspect of health either. The placebo effect has long been known, but the mind has other powers over human health that science is just beginning to fully examine. While these effects are not fully understood, they are certainly there. That makes mental health yet another aspect of health everyone must consider if they truly want to be healthy.
When these three aspects of health are taken together, they form a kind of pyramid of health that is solid and long lasting. Keep the pyramid in proper form with diet, exercise and proper mental health for lengthy, healthy and happy life.
